ABOUT OUR WOMEN'S BLANKET JACKETS
| Our women's blanket coats and jackets are from two well regarded and long established American designers; Tasha Polizzi based in Great Barrington, Massachusetts and Rhonda Stark based in Murray, Utah. |
Tasha’s Polizzi’s company TP SADDLEBLANKET AND TRADING INC. was founded in 1990 and is headquartered in the Berkshire Mountains of western Massachusetts. The bulk of the company’s business is in the design and manufacture of Women’s and Men’s apparel, home furnishings and accessories under the TASHA POLIZZI and TP SADDLEBLANKET brands. The design team is headed by Tasha who has an extensive background in apparel, home furnishings, leather and fashion accessories, footwear and even hard goods. Tasha spent ten years with RALPH LAUREN as head of Women’s design, three years with CALVIN KLEIN as head of Women’s and Men’s design, and was instrumental in the revitalization of BANANA REPUBLIC. Each Tasha Polizzai style is unique to her company, most with Southwest design emphasis. |
Rhonda Stark makes all her men's and women's blanket jackets, blanket coats, vests and capes in a small shop in Murray, Utah. The vests, coats and jackets are made in a lightweight Italian wool blend (25% wool, 45% acrylic, 25% polyester 5% other fiber) in native and southwest designs. Each item is cut and sewn by hand. They are soft but sturdy and will last for many years. The collection is both practical and fun to wear and are designed in the North American tradition of blanket garments dating back centuries. |
