Wayne Aguilar is a native of and lives in the Santo Domingo Pueblo outside of Santa Fe, New Mexico. Wayne grew up in the traditions of the pueblo and his family as jewelers, and silversmiths in a family trade going back several generations. His parents, Tony and Ernestine Aguilar, were accomplished and widely recognized jewelry makers themselves. The pueblo itself is known for it's jewelry of fine quality in various media including turquoise, silver, heishi, and mosaic inlay. Wayne tends to concentrate on pendants, necklaces, bracelets, belts, bolos, and earrings, using spiny oyster shell, turquoise, fresh water pearls, opals, and coral. Each creation is a one of a kind as any great art work is. All are originals and stamped with his or his father's symbol to guarantee their authenticity.
